And just for kicks and giggles to see how far they would go I've tried on trades like 1 or 2 countries, 4 or 5 technologies and 8000 for just Carbines or some other useless technology. What's with this randomly running off like a chicken with its head cut off?Īnd with diplomacy and trading.my "Very Friendly" neighbors who want half my empire in return for 10 turns of military access. Do they head toward very obviously present allied forces? No, they run out onto a peninsula where they're instantly trapped and slaughtered anyway. Ground troops caught out along the shore. Do they simply slip into port where they will be safe? No, they run West out into the Atlantic and get creamed anyway. Right outside the harbor of La Havre and my ships are overwhelmingly out numbered. You hit retreat in a tough situation and your forces loose their minds and run or sail off into an even worse situation. Tell you what drives me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy is I can't ever go for a tactical retreat. That is why there is so much moding going on because many others feel the same way. I will never completely walk away from Vanilla but, occasionally I get burned out with it and want something different. I agree DME isn't perfect but neither is ETW Vanilla. Like I say above so much for me and what I "KNOW" to be preposterous and for what "everyone knows about Ms defeating Gs." I haven't a clue about how to mod but if I did this isn't a change I would have made. I agree with you that that is unfortunate. I haven't had the opportunity yet to try it out but have heard about it now from both you and Brad. Kumelowshi - "Why on earth would anyone be building fort walls on turn one?" Who says anyone is doing this? Very certain I never did. As for the funds the cost for city walls is the only cost to change, everything else in the mod remains the same and you start out with a giant amount of money, and either through trade or taxes (I forgot which) you get additional huge amounts of money, literally too much to spend. I tested Guards vs Milita awhile ago and yes the milita straight up beat them in a close fight. The only thing about this which kinda leaves me wondering is why give me more only to turn about and take more away. Ever noticed the difference in prices between vanilla and DM? For example in vanilla a wall round your city runs you 4000. If true I agree it would be questionable.Īs to starting funds in the tens of thousands I don't find that questionable at all. Everyone knows this which is why I didn't know about M defeating Gs because I never tried it on, why waste the M, right? Now you've got me curious so will give it a go and see what happens. You don't need to touch "DarthMod_Empire_v8.0_Platinum.2" because it isn't an Application since it is simply an extension file to DarthMod_Empire_v8.0_Platinum. If anyone has ANY ideas as to what the problem could be, I'd greatly appreciate it.You need to download 3 files in order to install Darthmod.ġ. Weird thing is if I close the DME launcher and enable it for DME mode, I can launch the game and at least get past the Darthmod logo however it appears as if the mod isn't even enabled as the menu is the same and I can only play with vanilla factions, no matter what campaign script I use. Game started crashing mid battle, figured I'd do a clean install of the game/mod (without CB) and here I am, now unable to even launch the mod. Have no idea why it's crashing as I was doing a playtrough a few weeks ago with the casus belli mini mod installed. Some people say it matters the order you launch it in so I've made sure to launch Steam first, then the DME launcher, then Darthmod and still it crashes. The launcher tells me to start the game through Steam, I proceed to do it and immediate crash after it displays the Darthmod logo. This is exactly how I've been launching it. Guaranteed to crash every time if you don't do this.
